Matthew 25 pledge forum – Sunday, June 4, 11:30 a.m.

Back in February, Presbyterian churches (including First Pres!) across Los Angeles successfully collected 300 backpacks for unaccompanied child refugees fleeing violence in Central America who had recently arrived in Los Angeles. As a follow-up, we are hosting a forum on June 4 at 11:30 am to learn what made these children flee their homeland, what their current condition is like in the U.S. and in Los Angeles, and how we can continue to support and protect the most vulnerable as we are called to as Christians. “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me,” Matthew 25:35-36.
